The shank, PU midsole with Pivot and the Masai Sensor create a soft surface that is akin to walking barefoot on springy moss or on a sandy beach. Unfortunately MBT is going out of business. They have an excellent product...well made, comfortable, durable shoes and sneekers. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of them while they last at these prices.

I discovered MBT's a few years ago. They are much easier on the feet due to most of the weight being borne under the arch. The rolling motion due to the raised center of sole provides an easy walk. Nice construction too. My first pair has lasted a very long time. I like them.
